Opthalmic is the branch of medicine which deals in the specializing of the anatomy, function and diseases of the eye. Bachelor of Optometry and Ophthalmic Technology is the course offered for this branch of paramedicine by colleges and universities. The course offers jobs in many different places like in optician shops, Contact Lens companies, Ophthalmic lens industry and hospital eye departments. Not only diploma but Medical Lab Technology is also available in under graduate and post graduate programme. Bachelor in Medical Lab Technology is a 3 year under graduate programme for students offered by colleges and universities. BMLT course aims to provide the aspirant with sufficient knowledge and skills to carry out routine laboratory diagnostic procedures and some sophisticated laboratory diagnostic procedures. Master in Medical Lab Technology (MMLT) is a post graduation degree in medical lab technology for students. MMLT course covers the basics of preclinical subjects such as Biochemistry, Pathology, Microbiology and Blood Banking.
